Why Was the video Removed?

Hey Laowinners!

I think most of you guys probably have realized now that although I can be a sarcastic lad, I tend to take a positive stance on most things.
This strange sense of humor didn't bode well with the China 50 centers in the comments section of the video I made (and you guys titled) I've Got 99 Problems, and China is All of Them.

The humor was so lost on the public, that some of them even banded together to report my video on suspicions of promoting Falun Gong - an illegal religion in China that practices breathing exercises with cult like tendencies.

Of course, I do not support Falun Gong, and in fact have 0 opinion of it. However, walking through the video in Hong Kong, you will notice that I point out there there was a display that was promoting it, and directly across from it, a display that condemned it. Now, I simply pointed out that there must be a semblance of freedom of speech because in Mainland China you wouldn't be able to talk about either one, but as I was in Hong Kong, I found it an odd curiosity that you could talk about it at all.

After getting threats of deportation and email after email from 50 centers saying that I better take the video down or face jail time (with proof of them contacting the government), I decided, although I find it ridiculous to let some butthurt wankers have influence over my content, I had better play it safe, rather than sorry.

However, over much hemming and hawing, and speaking to reasonable Chinese people, I realized that there was no way I could stand for this. The self-censorship that is ripe these days comes from a tightening and paranoia from the government and it's soft power minions, and I simply cannot allow myself, or my viewers to be influenced by this, especially since I did nothing wrong.

I maintain that if I don't overtly express an opinion over highly contentious issues, and merely walk by them and point them out, I hold no fault, and I don't want to continue down the rabbit hole of self censorship.

I love China. I love most aspects of life there. I love my friends, my viewers, my family, and I am not a political activist. Therefore I will not continue to be baited into taking down content to appease a sensitive group of children.
