I am on my big Conquering Northern China trip at the moment, and I wanted to give you guys early access to a fun vlog Vivi and I shot in HK while we went to get gear for the trip.

Backstory: About 10 years ago, my friend at work and I would go to different restaurants, so I suggested a Chinese place in Milpitas, CA (where there is a sizable Asian and Indian population in Milpitas and nearby Fremont and San Jose). My gauge for how authentic and good a Chinese restaurant is by how many Chinese are in the restaurant. The place was packed, and not a single white person in it, with the specials written in Chinese only. So my friend and I go in, we are the only white people in the entire restaurant. They had some of the more unusual dishes you normally don't find in U.S. restaurants - even alligator listed on the specials board, so my friend orders the chicken fried rice, to be safe. She tries is and says it tastes a bit off and has a weird texture, like there is fur in it. She referred to the dish as "furry chicken." To this day, she still calls that restaurants the "furry chicken restaurant."
