Patreon Early Access: China HATES Motorcycles

You heard that right. China hates motorcycles.

So why do we ride here?

It's complicated...

Either way, in today's video, we talk about how dangerous it is to ride here, the rules of the road in China, and explain what you need to know if you come here.

Coming up on Laowhy86: The vlogs behind Winston and I in Shenzhen, and the smuggling video in Hong Kong

It's wayyyyyyyyyy more dangerous in China. I never felt any danger at all riding in Taiwan. Yeah, there were a lot of scooters on the road, but no one was trying to actively kill you haha

Wow, crazy insight! Thanks for this!

How would you compare things in Taiwan? I know the majority of traffic is scooter traffic. I even rode a scooter around Taichung a couple times, but it was a very brief and ignorant stay. I'm curious if I was just oblivious to a very similar underlying culture.

Later on when I was working for banks as contractor, I found out there are so many intoxicated drivers on the road. The dedicated drivers for bank at that time will drink liquor with customers like drinking competition for face and drive like crazy on the road. So I suspect the truck driver could well be intoxicated. Last year when I am back to China, my brother drive me around for 1 hours, he is a new driver. Making so many mistakes, a lot of them could well hit some one or got hit by other people. There are way higher percentage of new drivers on road with way less experience.
