hi my loves! so, as I told you in a previous post, I got a hamstring injury in February 2017 while twerking, so I had to take time off of twerking in order to let my hamstring recover. this is one of the physical therapy exercises I did to strengthen my hamstring muscle while it was healing the tears I made in it by using wrong technique (yes, you can get very badly injured when twerking, which is why technique is super important)!
Although I'm laughing and having fun in this video, I was very sad that I got a hamstring injury because I got injured in front of everyone at the opening celebration of the new dance studio. I was so excited that I used incorrect technique while trying to learn a new twerking move in the splits, and that's how I got injured. I had to wait until the end of summer/beginning of fall before I could twerk again. but when I came back, I came back ready to put in the work. and a few weeks into being back to twerking is when I filmed and released my viral twerk video of 2017 that started my career as a dancer, creator, and influencer.
