Hey Laowinners!

Been hard at work with the videos these days, and I am loving the response I am getting. It has been a pleasure putting out all of this content for you guys!

These apps are hilarious, and I am really out of touch with what girls are doing back home to make themselves look better. I have a feeling that Chinese girls go the extra mile to make themselves look "better". I am not sure if it is a cultural thing, but photography here takes on a different meaning.

Photos are not meant to represent something actually happening. When Winston and I went to the fake Austrian village, Hallstatt, we were astounded by the amount of tourists that had shown up with the primary goal of only taking pictures. The actual location was garbage. There was nothing to do, but the facade of being in Europe, real or not, was enough to warrant the trip there.

I find this to be the case with the massive prevalence of "photo shoots". Girls will spend epic amounts of money to take photos in the most ridiculous of situations. I feel like there is a real fear of "losing your youth" here in China. To the point that artificial photography sessions need to be set up to create the illusion of a memory.

Either way, download that MeiTu app, and start doctoring up some photos. Feel free to post them to the laowhy86 facebook page. I'd love to see what you guys can come up with!!!
