If these messages are around that time, they require clear scrutiny and follow up and through. It's not okay to leave journalists unprotected, it's not okay to leave our laws languishing protecting not the citizens in the main... it's disturbing. This power comes from public office, from public service and these threats from perhaps kickback for fearless journalism doing what it is meant to: keeping the facts straight and front and centre - white collar crimes and those that protect them are the most harmful: None of us agreed for our tax dollars to be used this way, for those they pay to look away for some - no. We agreed to pay tax dollars to pay our respected institutions to ensure that we are looked after, as we are meant to be. It must be hard to be the DPP sometimes, for sure, the pressure must be high - but they must do what the people need them to do, especially when it comes to things like this.
