The US Empire Gets Desperate

Hell Patrons,
Just another video we're giving to you slightly early. We were supposed to still be away but needed to do a bit of commentary on what's unfolded in Venezuela. It's crazy.

Hope you had a great New Years,

The US Empire Gets Desperate

Someone described what Trump does/has as 'incontinent belligerence' and I love the succinctness of that. He's incontinently truthful too.

There's some fancy rare earths in Venezuela too. Orinoco mining arc info is a bit of fun. Some fellow estimated a couple of trillion bucks worth of gold, diamonds, coltan etc etc. Also a hotbed of illegal mining (whatever that means), ecological disaster, brutal mine slavery type conditions, indigenous people wrecking etc. It's fun to blag on about oil too in reference to US idiocy, but if the yanks get hold of a bunch of rare earth mineral deposits, that's going to have some interesting geopolitical implications given the Chinese and Russian interests sniffing around there.

I like al jazeera for daily stuff, but I mostly glance. Good for a non US based outlet. I also just like looking at wikipedia's home page which highlights 4-5 current events in media for a little summary. I try to focus on just reading though. Reading current books and old books. I feel like you become more aware of the world if you read books rather than just 100% consume daily news on social media or MSM

Can anyone recommend a decent news source? Or a weekly/monthly summary channel etc? Thanks.

As a Dane I actually find some relief in seeing the funnier aspect of Trump's behaviour........for a short while before worrying about Greenland again. I don't think Trump will actually do anything - he loves to provoke but when push comes to shove he's really a big coward. Kidnapping Maduro was "safe", moving on Greenland/Denmark and NATO by proxy is an entirely different matter.

5:00 - no. He's not remotely funny, he's just a cruel arsehole. But you're right about the US not even bothering to pretend with this one. Unlike previous US coups on foreign soil, of which there have been several, they're not even attempting the usual 'bringing democracy to the people' hyperbole, it's just "yeah, we're doing it for the oil, what are you gonna do about it?"

No tears for brown people? Palestine?

Appalling lack of condemnation from Western leaders about this latest US atrocity. Strongest words from South American leaders even from the far right

As expected, Sussan Ley almost wet herself with glee about her orange hero committing mass murder in Venezuela. She sheds no tears for brown people - only for Bondi

Not just Epstein - Jack Smith's testimony as well. Just Sayin'

Cuba nationalised US interests in sugar and telecommunications. The first undersea phone cable for instance. To this day those companies lobby for the embargo to stay in place.
