"The Carbon Tax"
Added 2025-02-10 23:50:39 +0000 UTC[Very Early Access}
Hello Patrons,
This is another one of the longer, history focused videos we've been working on. We're taking a big look at the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme that was proposed by the Rudd government and the fallout of it being blocked. This was a pivotal moment in Australia's response to climate change.
We're hard at work on our comeback video, we're hoping to get that out to the public sometime next week. We can't wait to start posting these videos we've been showing you as well, they're overdue for public eyes.
Thank you all for your support, our return is just around the corner.

2025-03-11 00:40:54 +0000 UTCWow. You finally did it. I'm no longer a Greens voter.

2025-03-06 09:41:26 +0000 UTCI was still in school when I witnessed the Greens side with the Libs to dismantle "the carbon tax"/ETS. I was furious at them, and it riles me up wherever someone assumes I'm a "Greenie" or that Labor and the Greens are the same. A few years ago, I stumbled across your video that explained what I thought all along. The Green MP's, mean well, but ultimately either: choose their own backsides, or are totally disconnected from reality. EDIT: I just watched the video. Spot on! No need to edit my post at all.

2025-02-28 02:49:14 +0000 UTCThey’re running candidates us Labor seats. That was my red line. They’re dead to me.

2025-02-24 13:38:42 +0000 UTCExactly, it's only slogans but no real policies. That's what the Green does.
Dob WoLF
2025-02-24 13:37:46 +0000 UTCCant be taking away their platform to virtual signal their way into easy gov position. These green parasites are no different to the LNP.
Dob WoLF
2025-02-24 13:36:44 +0000 UTCIt really was one of the worst thing Greens has ever done and has indirectly made my pollution mitigation career redundant. If wasn't the fucking Greens, I would've been one of many environmental officers keep tap on mining emission. Til this day, their braindead supporters still refuse to acknowledge the party mistake.
Dob WoLF
2025-02-24 13:35:14 +0000 UTCFrom my personal experience too, in queensland any progress on trans rights including support for gender affirming care, right to legally transition on your ID etc has always (always) come from labor and not once have the greens ever came and introduced any legislation for trans people, unfortunately Labor doesn’t wanna speak up too much about their achievements on trans rights because they don’t stoke a culture war that endangers trans people

2025-02-22 23:55:09 +0000 UTCPalmer just rebranded a ‘new’ LNP vote harvesting machine / party. But the name…. Lord. Can we please have a bit on ‘fatties patriotic fuck trumpets’? It’s surely too good to pass up.

2025-02-18 21:11:12 +0000 UTCI’ve been talking about them blocking the ets for years man. Literally years. I’m only 19, since I was 15, a fucking 15 yr old could see that the greens were disingenuous by looking at their history of what they vote for

2025-02-18 04:26:58 +0000 UTCI take everything back, fuck up the teals.

2025-02-16 20:52:02 +0000 UTCCan you make a video about Paul Keating and the banking sector?

2025-02-14 06:19:09 +0000 UTCGreat video, explains the reality of the whole situation. I consider any emissions reduction policy to be a missed opportunity. Your original video of "Dumbest Decision Ever" was what got me into your content around that time too. Nice to see a revisionist take of this let alone the fact the original policy would have had long term benefits for the country, except we got tyranny of Abbott's Incompetence, Turbull's Dullness and Morrison's Insanity. Really hoping Labor puts up a fight this year as I connot Fathom a Dutton Tyranny copying off the American Fascists under Trump.
Luke Eberhard
2025-02-13 22:56:30 +0000 UTCdon't think it matters what the Greens put as preferences because voters can follow their own ideals.
Andrew Stanley
2025-02-13 05:40:01 +0000 UTCthey apparently got a concession for with exemptions around uranium mining ( not the focus of the bill and a mute point) so I guess it would be around that.
Andrew Stanley
2025-02-13 05:38:10 +0000 UTCLabor isn't anti-trans rights, it may not be outwardly pro-trans, but ALP sees Trans as people and cares about workers first and foremost, and thus Trans people as people.

2025-02-11 22:15:11 +0000 UTCThe thing abot the Greens, is that if Labor had actually done something to fight climate change (e.g. the ETS) it would have eroded their base. Hollo sort of makes the point, but Labor doing things for the environment etc. is bad news for them as a party.
David Hardie
2025-02-11 20:52:16 +0000 UTCI swear I see them do this every election and no one believes me.

2025-02-11 20:26:20 +0000 UTCI don’t think we’ll see it. It would solidify the argument.

2025-02-11 20:19:48 +0000 UTCYou told us before, the Greens don't give a fuck about the environment, they're lobbyist's mouth pieces

2025-02-11 14:33:39 +0000 UTCThat pretty damning for Greens... I honestly had no idea about the ETS. I think that's why they usually target younger voters, because they genuinely don't know about their shitty actions in the past.

2025-02-11 13:01:42 +0000 UTCMy sister votes greens because they support trans rights, id be curious to know how much of that support is fake. either way id love to show her thsi video to show her just how evil the greens are

2025-02-11 07:30:48 +0000 UTCFuture Made in Australia Bill just passed in the Senate. This is one piece of legislation the Greens couldn't vote down but watch them try to somehow take credit for it

2025-02-11 06:29:00 +0000 UTCQLD LNP have just amended the state planning regulations to make solar farms subject to impact assessment which slows down their assessment, and they've paused 3 or 4 major solar projects for a few months for no good reason. Market interference to delay the adoption of renewable energy.
Putz
2025-02-11 05:47:49 +0000 UTCThe safeguard mechanism was the liberals really terrible version of the ETS. This term of government the ALP have rejigged it to actually do something that approaches an ETS without specifically calling it that. It's a big step that got very little press, though that might be a good thing since implementing another 'carbon tax' might get them the boot.

2025-02-11 04:41:46 +0000 UTCAs a second generation clean and renewable deep tech startup bro, I can verify everything in this. We’ve been at this for 25 years so I know each fuck up along the way. Excellent vibes on hating the Greens, leave the Teals alone until they overstep the cute little fence we’ve left for them and go after Labor seats, then we cuck them, the background dossiers are quivering in anticipation. Also, I’d add a bit on the Production Tax Credits part of Future Made in Australia which are being legislated today, it ensures that the mining companies actually pay tax in Australia instead of yeeting it overseas straight away. It’s not quite the Mineral Resources Rent Tax, but it ensures that we don’t have a 1 for 1 repeat of the iron and fossil fuel boom.

2025-02-11 02:22:48 +0000 UTCExcellent video. It's a constant history of the Greens only voting for their policies, not compromising or benefiting Australia.
Brad
2025-02-11 02:08:55 +0000 UTCThe Greens don't want something unless it's perfect out of the box and has their seal of approval. Talking with their voting base about this sort of thing is infuriating (always ends with Labor bad because not enough or some shit).
Michael Koorey
2025-02-11 01:46:56 +0000 UTCNo wonder why The Chaser back in 2010 called The Greens "The wanker's choice since 1972"

2025-02-11 01:18:27 +0000 UTCG: Omg you are still mad about the ETS? L: Have you admitted you were wrong and stopped voting against your stated values for political gain? G: OMG rent free much. And no.

2025-02-11 01:14:41 +0000 UTCUmmm actually, this video would have made me vote Labor, instead of Greens, but seeing that every video on this channel is hosted by a white man, I worry about representation. So I need to vote for a party lead by a fearless woman. One Nation, and it's great leader, Gina Rinehart
DMK
2025-02-11 01:06:11 +0000 UTCGood. Watch this election and the greens how to vote cards preferencing liberals.
Alex Isaac
2025-02-11 00:48:01 +0000 UTCWow. Awesome stuff. We need this cut up into shorts and shared heavily. But I can't wait for swollen pickles or Adu or bad empanada to twist themselves into circles to attack you and Labor. Sorry, they won't watch because you "constantly" do unfunny bits. Its exactly why I hate minorities and have since Abbott got in.
Alex Isaac
2025-02-11 00:44:59 +0000 UTCIf it weren't for your green videos, I'd still be voting for them like a moron.
