Patreon Poll November
Added 2024-11-28 22:34:21 +0000 UTCHello Patrons,
Here's the poll taken from video suggestions you had in the previous thread. Remember, if something doesn't win it doesn't mean we won't make a video about it. The winner of last month's poll is being edited as we speak. We're aiming to get that out on Monday.

2024-12-01 23:44:22 +0000 UTCWould love to see you eviscerate this article: https://kangaroocourtofaustralia.com/2024/12/01/labor-party-pays-friendlyjordies-to-promote-labor-lies-and-propaganda/ It's some of the stupidest shit I've ever read

2024-12-01 12:28:51 +0000 UTCYep. They tabled a bill about the Olympics Infrastructure on the morning of the first full sitting day of their government, and passed it by midnight. That bill also rolled back a heap of worker protections and axed Treaty + Truth-telling in Qld. And to top it all off the chair of the Olympics Infrastructure inquiry donated nearly $13,000 to the LNP!

2024-11-29 05:25:21 +0000 UTCI understand the point you have, but unfortunately money always finds a way, did it watch Jordans videos about dark money?
Alex Isaac
2024-11-29 05:23:53 +0000 UTCI don't understand the obsession over digital IDs, like people haven't already given too much of thier personal information to businesses. YouTube need Id and a credit card to prove you're over 18 to see vaguely rude content. Facebook need it to stop your account being stolen. The idea shorten presented involved giving the corporations less data.

2024-11-29 05:23:02 +0000 UTCYep. I can't understand why it's a rarity for public schools to be fully funded. But I can understand why people send Thier kids to Catholic or Christian schools, they pay $900 a fortnight on daycare and then move them into school so it's actually cheaper for them!
Alex Isaac
2024-11-29 05:11:50 +0000 UTCAndrew, if you think new reductions in online privacy (and therefore reductions in freedom) will actually protect the children, you are too ignorant of how censors etc always use “protecting the children” as their excuse and you aren’t worth listening to.

2024-11-29 04:07:24 +0000 UTCAs AUKUS has shown, Australia exists to be exploited by the US and the UK.

2024-11-29 04:03:52 +0000 UTCAustralia isn't the UK.

2024-11-29 03:32:57 +0000 UTCYou have to verify to get back your Facebook account after it had been hacked. Making sure children aren't on a platform they shouldn't be in anyway isn't a bad thing. This will win over parents radically ones who aren't chronically online.
Andrew Stanley
2024-11-29 03:32:39 +0000 UTCIt's one of the policies that Labor can't touch because too many people will either spin it as an attack on religion (cause a fuck ton of private schools are religious and the funding of Catholic schools was how the federal government for into funding private schools) or they think all school should get funding no matter what cause they're kids go there. I would suggest joining the ALP and garnering support of the general public that says I will vote for the party that takes away funding from private school and gives it to public schools. I can't see any other way.
Andrew Stanley
2024-11-29 03:31:07 +0000 UTCWhy is it that nearly 60% of private schools receive more government funding than comparable public schools. This level of inequality cannot have a positive effect on Australia's future. The selective public schools are gamed by sectors of our society, through expensive tutoring, which leads to gifted children born to poorer families without any chance of better opportunities. Education is not a commodity, yet here we are, with an education system so de-valued, degrees are simply being bought. Perhaps the student visa system is simply a backdoor to push up our immigration? I don't see a reason to fund private schools at all. Put the funding into public schools. Private schools suck.

2024-11-29 01:58:04 +0000 UTCPolitical finance and social media laws are very important. If people have to verify they aren’t 16 to use social media then Labor is going to tank in the polls.
Michael
2024-11-29 00:24:34 +0000 UTCI hope some time soon you’ll cover Australia's social media ban for children under 16 that just became law. And talk about digital IDs, the loss of our right to privacy, and the fact that over three thousand people have been arrested for social media posts in the UK.

2024-11-29 00:15:29 +0000 UTCThat's stupid, you'd still have rich greedy pricks controlling what happens to this country and the people's lives
