Jordies you are making me cry rn. Labor is the ONES LETTING the forests get destroyed. Since Labor got in, logging has MASSIVELY INCREASED in the GKNP area. My friends yesterday took a photo of a koala on the road next to a clearfell site. Forestry now has plans to smash another area next to it 10x larger. They are hitting all the areas marked for the National Park as hard as they can. 10+ log trucks per day streaming through. They just doubled their speed in Newry State Forest. They put in plans to smash Kalang headwaters. And they want to turn Tucker's Nob (core koala habitat) into a moonscape. Those Green members you dismiss are the ones actually trying to stop it. They are locking on, stopping work, and also actually have a policy to stop native logging. They are the ones coordinating campaigns to educate the public what is actually going on. Labor policy is not made at the grassroots level! They will happily ignore LEAN to the end of time, because LEAN will vote for them whatever they do. You must have the courage to threaten your Labor vote, to have any effect on them. How are you so rusted on already, that you think Labor can save the forests here. They are the ones causing the destruction! They LIED about the GKNP to grab some votes from the teals the last minute, then they signed off on a 20x acceleration of logging in the GKNP area. If they were serious, it would have been a moratorium on the GKNP areas from the start. FFS dude don't pretend you are on the side of the forests here.
