Kevin Rudd RELOADED

Kevin Rudd just released a new essay. Jordan gives his thoughts and laughs at the poor Journos that try catch Mr. Rudd up.

Thanks for all your continued support! There's a blockbuster video coming soon and without you guys making it wouldn't have been possible.

Cheers,

Delicious is the word that comes to mind.

It definitely is a bloody good speech.

Ha, yes, frustrating. But it's a big problem that we're willing to throw out a garment that is perfectly good because of a small stain like the one on Jordies' hoodie. Ideally, the answer is to wash it, use stain remover, replace the cord, or just live with it. The environmental and humanitarian cost of fast fashion is insane. Yes, it probably costs $15 from K-Mart to replace, but it certainly does not cost $15 if you take into account the resources required for both garments, the CO2 associated with manufacturing and transport, as well as the labour of those making it under wage slave conditions. It's difficult (at least for me) to accept the notion of wearing tarnished clothing, despite the fact that it often still serves its purpose adequately. This was actually a pretty normal thing for peoples of the past, because clothing was so valuable when it was still hand-made--perhaps even the fabric itself. The answer becomes to avoid trends, look after clothing better, buy better quality from if you have the funds, and invest in the maintenance of it. If you can no longer, or will no longer, wear an item, re-selling it the best option, followed by donating. However, donations need to be in a condition for re-sale, or at least good enough for a struggling person to wear with comfort and dignity. So much gross, threadbare clothing gets sent to op-shops or chucked in charity bins as if they're a dump. That all goes to landfill at the expense of the charity. When clothes are like that, recycling programs for clothing may still be an option. More often, I just cut up t-shirts, etc, as cleaning scraps or pet towels/blankets, etc. You may find animal shelters or rescue groups have want of them (much like newspaper or blankets), although you might need to prepare them for use yourself. You can also use cut up old clothes, t-shirts in particular, to stuff pillows, which works just fine for human use but I find particularly good for pets or even floor pillows that are going to be wrecked by kids. Yeah, this is all sounds very didactic and unnecessary. I get the stain tic, too. But as an issue, it's just as important as many of the issues FriendlyJordies highlights on his channel. Fashion is one of the world's top polluters and waste-generators. Everything starts with industy, but in the case of fashion, it's an industry meeting demand, expectation, and consumer mentality. By re-thinking our approach to clothing, we make more difference in this arena than most environmental challenges.

Jokes on you, I read the book AND watched Kevin Rudd's NPC address in full (along with all of the public Senate media inquiries).

I highly recommend watching Kev’s National Press Club talk if you have a chance https://youtu.be/4L58L1Xx54k Jordan nailed it and really reminded us how ‘Boss’ Rudd really was and still is. Nice vid FJ’s

Like all good comedy, we are funniest at our angriest. Stay angry Jordan.

Journo only have questions to attack Kev, not his discussion points. But take Scomo on his word for all the BS he spouts. Why is that........

Rudd is a mad dog.

Ah watching that little fucker get clapped off while trying to ask a follow up question is just 👨‍🍳👌
