Stephen Colbert Is Wrong About Russia

[Early Access]

*EDIT: CBS copyright-struck us for using the Colbert clip - so we had to re-edit the video. Also there were two lines involving George Bush that should have been Bill Clinton - they have been rectified.*

It's Friday and that means it's time for another installment of Ja Rule's Funtime Spooktacular ft. Friendlyjordies!

Jordan's fallen WAY WAY down the CIA/America conspiracy rabbit hole - and this video is the result. After reading the book 'Killing Hope' he's basically turned into an underground mole lizard.

Stephen Colbert believes America's interventions overseas are defensible because his country is a "force for good" in the world. We have something to say about this.

As always, thank you all so much for your continued support of our channel! We hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Stephen Colbert Is Wrong About Russia

Vote Labor. Keep voting for them until Whitlam rises from the dead and becomes the fucking God Emperor of Australia.

Colbert's point wasn't about past and present U.S. foreign policy being absent of violent predation or economic exploitation; he opens with the admission, lip-service though it is, while making his actual point: any proposed withdrawal of the U.S. (major or minor) from their current geopolitical role would create a power vacuum that would almost certainly be filled by Russia and/or China. History is filled with compelling examples that support the thesis. Rather than engage in "what-about-isms" and focus on Colbert's lip-service, why not engage the more interesting and core idea he alludes to: would a world in which Russia and/or China fills the current geo-political shoes of the U.S. be a better one? Both countries (Russia and China) are without free-press, democratic elections, separation of legislative, judicial and executive powers, etc (cue the screeching about corporate corruption, erosion of democracy and media ownership in the West. All granted but all pale in comparison to China and Russia) places where books like Killing Hope don't get published, and authors like William Blum don't get to write them, or do so risking life and limb. By all means criticise and lambaste U.S. foreign policy where it errs and expresses itself maliciously, but let's not pretend like the other global players waiting in the wings would be the same brand of shit with a slightly different aroma, richer in Hoisin and Pelmeni I imagine. And if you're more motivated by "what-about-isms," lets give William Blum a look: In early 2006, Blum briefly became the subject of widespread media attention when Osama bin Laden issued a public statement in which he quoted Blum and recommended that all Americans read Rogue State: A Guide to the World's Only Superpower. As a result of the mention, sales of his book greatly increased.[4] "I was quite surprised and even shocked and amused when I found out what he'd said," Blum commented. "I was glad. I knew it would help the book's sales and I was not bothered by who it was coming from. If he shares with me a deep dislike for certain aspects of US foreign policy, then I'm not going to spurn any endorsement of the book by him. I think it's good that he shares those views and I'm not turned off by that."[12] On the Bin Laden endorsement, Blum stated, "This is almost as good as being an Oprah book." - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Blum Fuck me. And I thought Clinton was cold for putting $ over people in post-Soviet Russia.

He is just another corporate shil tbh so didn’t expect much from Colbert
