Why America is Dead to Me

WELCOME TO 'HISTORYJORDIES WITH J. SHANKS'!

This week's video is something we've been wanting to make for a while - so we hope you all get a kick out of it.

November 1975... Labor leader Gough Whitlam is infamously dismissed from government by then Governor-General John Kerr. The event itself, the speeches, the fallout, are all part of the national consciousness. But we here at Historyjordies simply must ask the question: "what really happened behind the scenes?"

WHO'S REALLY TO BLAME?

The title of the video probably gives it away hahahaha, sorry. *SPOILER ALERT*.

Let us know if you enjoy videos like this! If so, we'll make more for you.

Thank you all so much for your continued support of our channel! We actually love you.

This video was the one for me to make me become a supporter, very well researched, this is the stuff more Australians need to know, great work guys. Don't know why it took me so long to start a patreon account, but better late than never! Love how you are fighting the LNP so vehemently, We need all the help we can get.

Brilliant! This is the very reason why I became a supporter. Dismantling the propaganda one video at a time. My god we are spoon-fed a load of crap by the media and our education system supports this miseducation. Thank you again FJ's, love your work.

In trying to convince my dad, who is a farmer, not to vote liberal in the last election. I found out that he and almost every other farmer is holding a grudge against labor from something that Gough did to farmers. I think he’s referring to the end of fertilizer subsidies but I can’t seem to find any information as to why they ended the subsidies. Can you do a video explaining what happened so I can convince farmers to stop voting liberal.

Love to see you do one on Joe Bjelke Peterson and the Queensland police state. The one time in Australian history where the police murdered a bunch of people so they didn't have to have a literacy requirement. In the 80s.
