For this week's Ja Rule's we compare and contrast two separate interviews on the ABC's current affairs program 7.30 - one with former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and the other with head of the ACTU Sally McManus. The way the interviewees are treated is noticeably different - and we explain why.
A bunch of you have asked us to do a video on the Budget - and we certainly are planning to do one! Jordan has been in Melbourne for the last 3 weeks on tour so we haven't been able to put it together yet, but we'd like to see it happen.
Now that ScoMo has stamped the date in stone, expect to see a lot of election-based content in the coming weeks (for better or worse!)

spot on. Sales is less penetrating than she thinks she is and I think, a bit overrated as a journalist. The comparison of the interviews is revealing. She is dismissive of the CMFEU for corruption but that is not the whole picture The CMFEU has defended workers as Sally pointed out in the interview. this union has helped a miner with black lung disease fight against a mining company who did were negligent in their health checks on workers. Justice and the law are not always the same thing. eg. history of Aboriginals in Australia.

They will throw everything true or not at shorten, labor and the union movement. The ex-Fairfax papers have taken a big swerve to the right and the ABC so cowered it repeats Murdoch lines and treats neo liberal economists from multinational companies as independent. The rich and powerful perceive they have $ to lose if workers start getting pay rises and they have to pay the tax they have got used to avoiding. Remember your social media account reach friends and families. We all have a job to do getting the real messages out and persuading people. Just about everyone is experiencing record low wage growth and insecure jobs, they will try and ignore this, we need to talk about it as much as possible. There are door knocks and phone banking. This is something they cannot do or counter.” Sally McManus- PLEASE everyone let’s fight this inequality that has plagued our country for years long of neo liberal propaganda and laws stacked up against workers.
