A Million Dead Fish

The scale of the problem in the Murray-Darling Basin is truly horrifying. At least a million fish have perished due to the toxic blue-green algae in the water - and, given the news reports that have just dropped today regarding further fish deaths in Lake Hume, that number will continue to rise.
The media and the NSW Government will have you believe the devastation is due to drought and high temperatures - but this is at best only part of the problem.

And my friend who gave exactly this presentation to me today at work... except the bit about the ABC, but there was a lament by us both about the waste of Malcolm's year planning something more reasonable back in the naughties... Thanks for highlighting the truth on this totally avoidable tragedy. Lucky Australia. No mention of the drinking water supply problems in the ABC "report", either.
