i feel like the concept y'all are grasping towards in Thurs' episode is "supercessionism"? unsurprisingly, not very popular with the Jews!

2023-12-15 18:02:53 +0000 UTC...the guy on friday's episode who argued that "green energy has actually accrued more money that fossil fuels" or whatever the argument was, doesn't seem to understand what an enormous indictment that is to "the green energy lobby" (or whatever you want to call it). If that's the reality I'm supposed to buy into, why is green energy getting stomped this much then? Why is fossil fuel the ones that clearly dictate international terms without barely trying? Nobody cares about these "well, achktully, if you read this report, and then tally the numbers, and apply this ideological framing on it, it turns out that things are good, ergo, the realpolitik that you can see with your own eyes isn't *that* much of a problem". Nobody cares about this loser-talk anymore, and more importantly - as it pertains to green energy - "we" don't have time for debate club wins in lieu of actual political capital. ...like, having "The Very Serious Climate Meeting" in Dubai is already a joke (verging on actively being "dabbed on").
