The Church of God the Utterly Indifferent. Also, RIP Gangsta Boo

Itโ€™s wild how God always agrees with whoever Iโ€™m talking to at that present momentโ€ฆ Thereโ€™s not enough love and goodness in the world to merit giving any of it to imaginary beings.

i straight up HOLLERED bc when Tom and Aaron started talking about y2k i faded out of listening bc i was thinking to myself: "yeah, i was 11 years old and spent the whole night crying inconsolably in my father's arms bc while he wasn't a doomer per se, he was aware of the potential danger enough to get my young mind catastrophizing. anyway i was like, if anyone asks me now, I'll point to that as the true first indicator of my future anxiety disorder" and at that moment i was snapped back into the podcast to the hosts saying almost word for word what i was thinking in my head. wild.

All people will be beautiful? Amen

An 8-hour work day (7-hours for miners) was established in 1594 by Phillip II of Spain as part of a royal edict known as Ordenanzas de Felipe II (Ordinances of Philip II). It was supposed apply to everyone throughout the Spanish Empire but it doesnโ€™t appear that anyone bothered to tell that to the bastards running the Spanish encomiendas in the Americas and the Philippines.

3023? Smack bang in the middle of the Great Tribulation I reckon.

I'm not religious at all; in fact, I consider myself an atheist. But I think that being a Socialist or Communist requires some kind of spirituality. The same promise that a better world is possible despite all tangible evidence to the contrary is necessary to fight of apathy and doomerism. It's no different than the medieval peasant toiling and suffering with the knowledge that eternal life awaits him once he passes on. It's about fostering love and camaraderie for your fellow man and thinking beyond yourself and your needs. Apologies for the sincerity, but I think Aaron's got the right idea when it comes to his New Year's resolution. I just wanted to chime in with my support.

Dwellings made of fiber and concrete: Let me tell you a little something about papercrete (invented in 1928)! Paper pulp can be combined with a fractional amount of concrete for insulative construction. See also hempcrete. My personal favorite is aircrete or foamrock, blowing soap bubbles in concrete.

3023 prediction, communism will finally win
