Hey hey hey so if pd187 started trending on Twitter would that be a good thing or a bad thing?

The ending of the episode tickled me. Thin blue pine is a stellar name, and I humbly submit: "Friends of the 13th"

I want to put in a submission for the trillbillies essay contest from the main feed!

My college job in the 90s was working at a movie theater. One of the doormen was deep in hock with a bookie and had to leave town lest something get broken. He also ran a scam about reselling cups and pocketing the money. This was small town, rural Western PA.

I have a buddy whose version of the fishing-tall-tale is about the ridiculous lengths he goes to in order to cheat his way to the top of amateur fishing tournaments.

ending on thin blue pine was a masterful play. i hope this new trillbillies post-credits phenomenon catches on 🙏

I know this makes me very "old man yells at cloud", but you should have to put in some effort if you want to sports gamble. Whether that's finding a bookie, traveling to a legal betting site, or knowing in the back of your mind someone might show up to break your thumbs. It keeps away all but the most committed. The other problem with the ubiquity of sports gambling is the people in charge using all the tricks social media developers used to gamify it and make it as addictive as possible. I know for most it's harmless fun, but there are probably now thousands of people who are addicted to gambling who otherwise wouldn't. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now.

Do the fellas not remember the Mitchell Report? The feds cared so deeply about PEDs in baseball that the Senate did an entire sanctioned investigation

What industry do you work in? I'm trying to learn to code so I can work two developer jobs

I’ve been double dipping with two “email jobs” within the hours of 9 -5 for 2 years. It’s the only way to make a comfortable 6 figures and afford city living. Still can’t imagine having kids or a home to own though.

Work will set you free. Rise and grind, bootstrap it, you pathetic little precarious workers! This is nuts. We went from single income households to dual income to now both domestic partners should have multiple jobs.
