The Vietnam War, Explained

I've been getting carried away with my videos lately. Because of this, the next few will be much shorter. But yeah, here's another video I've been wanting to make since when I first began my channel. It's basically how I used to teach the Vietnam War to my high school students.

Yes, I used to show them some of the photographs you'll see in this video. Yes, some of them are graphic. Viewer discretion is advised. This video will likely get age-restricted, so I am currently uploading another version that is much more censored.

I recently reached a million subscribers! It's quite a milestone. It only took me 13 and a half years! To celebrate, I did a Q and A livestream a few days ago. I also plan on finally making that Mr. Beast and Mr. Beat Compared video. haha that will be fun

Anyway, thank you all for your continued support!

I agree. :(

Mr. Beat

Vietnam War started when I was a teen. A lot of bad memories about the war. Thanks for the video. I hope we never need the draft again. :-(

LBJ is the one President I am most conflicted over. He passed just a ton of domestic civil rights legislation. The Civil Rights Act, The Voting Rights Act, The Social Security Act, etc. Go LBJ go! But I don't just get to ignore or dismiss the escalation of atrocities perpetuated in Vietnam in his administration... You cannot escape it.

DANTE VERONA

Thanks for sharing all that. I should have added the part about veterans getting more benefits now due to the war. I will definitely looks the project up when it's done. Also thanks for your service to our country.

Mr. Beat

The University of Montana is about to finish up a project commemorating the 50 year anniversary to the end of the war in Vietnam. I was involved and we interviewed dozens of people telling the stories of combat veterans, immigrants, activists and more! I learned on this project that much of the benefits I get now as a veteran are owed to the efforts of largely Vietnam veterans and the VFW. And veterans would often after interviews tell me "welcome home." I have friends and family that never said anything like that to me when coming home so it was very moving.

Chums McGuffey

Unfortunately, it doesn't. Thanks for suggesting it, though.

Mr. Beat

I recommend you add the viewer discretion PSA in the beginning of video, that might help counter the age restriction.
