In this one we talk about the REAL Mandela Effect; why the deer have it so bad; the debunking/skepticism movement; and why the libs think conservatives are suddenly so nasty

He's a grifter and going hard right was a good business move

I had to turn GG off on this one. I am a criminal defense lawyer btw but that doesn't mean I missed all the shit that "judge" got up to.

have you any opinions on Glenn Greenwald's take on the Rittenhouse trial and acquittal? I get his take on imperialism?MIC, MSM etc but he doesn't seem to have any analysis of the US criminal "justice" system as it operates in people's lives

Tanya’s deadpan description of what could happen to unwelcome “visitors” is just about the funniest thing I’ve ever heard her say - and I also don’t doubt her for a second.

Penn Jillette ate nothing but potatoes for the first month, then ate corn and potatoes for the next month. Apparently potatoes contain almost every nutrient you need. If you have potatoes and milk, you have everything you need. And yeah he ended up losing more than 100 pounds. Also apparently after COVID started he dropped a lot of right-libertarianism. He was friends with Hitchens but also Michael Parenti. Not sure how he stayed a libertarian for so long.

Another fire episode keep it up bois. Can we get some more speculation?

Skeptic magazine is Michael Shermer's right-libertarian rag. As right libertarian and Western chauvinist as the Skeptic community can be, and I certainly don't consider myself part of the new atheist/rabid skeptic anymore, (it actually disappeared when I went from liberal to leftist) but it was incredibly liberating at a certain time. I grew up in a Christian fundamentalist sect, and it was dark and scary and sad life, and the skeptic community, shitbirds and altright pipeline folks as they might be, were incredibly liberating to me, almost to the same extent as dialectical materialism is now. New atheist is baby's first dialectical materialism, and I'm glad I went through it. I'm definitely more Cornel West than Ayn Rand, but skepticism is part of the foundation of where I am now.

Not only "Tom", but "Uncle Joe" pops up in songs sometimes. And the "Tom Joad" song is a Woody Guthrie song
