Great discussion on the fuckery of the FBI in these "counter-terrorism" investigations (or whatever they call what they did in MI). Reminds me of the "investigation" they did into the Christmas tree bomber in Portland, OR, where they basically recruited an 18 year old into a fact terrorist cell and then arrested him for terrorism. Pointless.

I live in MI. There are two people I work with that have vinyl stickers for their trucks that say ‘my governor is an idiot’. I’ve seen a handful of yard signs with the same sentiment.

Yeah, that’s true. All these groups are at least white supremacist adjacent or tacitly White supremacist even if they don’t necessarily have the trappings of them.

I say this not to drive Tarence mad with a critical comment or to be contrarian bc y’all laid out your points really clear here and I get where you’re coming from. And also still thinking deeply about what it does to minimize the influence of White supremacy as people come to forming a world view or are in process. Idk what to really offer just an immediate response I’ll probably ruminate on more today. I hear the point that things aren’t binary but I also think even when we can be critical about power structures white supremacy can still influence how we (and present limitations) envision a new world.

Take it from me, there is nothing wrong with being in one's early 30's, in Kentucky, and questioning the meaning of life. You'd be crazy if you didn't. Try to stay alive, you'll figure it out.
