The Seeding Curse Devlog #14 | Addressing the Censorship, Pregnancy Test Scene, and Meliara's Goblin Assistant!

This Devlog will be made public, so it can reach as many people as possible. Now, let's start with the good news.

What We've Been Working On!

Hey gamers, we've been adding a LOT to the game, and continuing our work on things that were mentioned in the previous post! During this pregnancy test scene you'll meet Meliara's assistant, the airheaded goblin scholar Xuka. She'll help you and Meliara collect 'vital essence' samples from all the girls you've gone out with up until that point. This scene will change depending on who you have sex with first, giving you more opportunities to explore all the fun dialogue options!

On the backend this scene has taken a lot of new programming skills to implement, and we'll be taking what we've learned going forward, in addition to going back and improving existing scenes if we can. The new date selection menu represents probably the most advanced programming thus far, and we hope it helps you feel that much more immersed in the story and setting of Libon!

Censorship

Now of course, we get to the unpleasantness. As many of you already know, Itch and other platforms have been cracking down on content, censoring a wide variety of art including porn and other NSFW content. Ostensibly this has come at the monopolistic behest of payment processors such as MasterCard and Visa, supposedly in response to a small Australian censorship group posing as feminists. It's hard to verify anything these days, so we won't get too into the weeds on the details.

What About the Game?

What you're probably wondering is if we'll continue working on the game, and we're happy to let you know that we will. No matter who tries to censor or suppress us, we fully intend to bring this game to completion and make it available to as many adult players as possible. The positive feedback we've gotten has been incredibly encouraging, and obviously we couldn't have gotten this far without all of your support.
