Rating - 9.8/10 - Proud of Sam & Dean! Loved this. Seeing Sam stay strong through this I was living for it! So glad to see them safe through that portal! Wasn't thrilled with the Gabriel scene, he better not be truly dead! Lucifer is indeed the actual worst!!! I can't bare it, how dare he get in Jack's mind like this. I did enjoy Jack staying firm on his choices though, he does have to make his own mind up & his own mistakes along the way!

Anyone else almost laugh when it seemed like Mary might actually not remember who is Sam and who is Dean just like the BMoL? I know she knows who is who but it reminded me of that lady from last season: "I -- Sam...Dean...I know what you went through to come find me."

2024-01-17 18:59:52 +0000 UTCI remember watching this back when it aired and I knew Mary would enter "abandonment" mode. Her normal life bluster and disappointment that her sons never really got out like she thought she did is beating a dead horse by now. It's like they did the whole Apocalypse world to help show her how clearly her family improved their world, make it cathartic but after tons of examples its still not working. She would rather stay away even knowing how the obvious risk they keep referencing about how "they want to invade and destroy our world". Why doesn't Mary want to spend time with her boys to actually help all 3 of them get closer to that normal life, maybe get grandkids, find out their favorite color (aside from plot contrivance)? Just like not killing Lucifer right away, Rowena not magically silencing him, 2 days walk so let's go through the obvious someone is going to die tunnel complete with screaming girl who somehow makes it, the absurd way Sam's "death" was used, flashbacks of Kelly's video we never saw before about being okay with wanting to meet his dad, Lucy's power range being insanely unmeasured in both worlds, Cas barely connecting with HIS son in the 1 episode where they initially meet before he bolted, getting AU copies of our old faves out of the 40 folks they saved...wtf? It just felt like this season had promise and then they got renewed so it was time to change the rules/lore/fake deaths AGAIN. Killing Gabe yet again but with finality after they already did SOOOO many fake outs was strangely the only death that angered me. We blew through half a season of his implausible story of being captured then tortured, a revenge standalone filler and got no payoff. It would have been really awesome to see him actually talk to Jack but nah. And who is Jack? He started out strong, fresh and then went into boring mode once he got to the AU. Seriously though, the AU is mostly a random "church in desert" as Micheal's HQ why? No heaven? They have wings in the AU, so how do they land like Levi bombs? Catapulted from a trebuchet that's hidden under that church? It could have been so much cooler just like Purgatory had potential they wasted. Why do we have to shove Lucifer back into the story again? The angels and demons are already a joke, they destroyed Crowley last season and am I really the only one who is sick of Lucy's one dimensional character? Sorry, didn't realize it was a novel but /end rant...

2024-01-17 18:55:15 +0000 UTCThat always annoyed me about this episode. I wonder if Cas could even get his wings back from taking "Nazstiels" grace. But I think the writers needed Cas powered down for plot.

I would have loved to see a bit more of how he basically became THE torture device for the Angel army. I did love how they showed that our Cas and Alt Cas both had that darker side to them, mirroring them ripping into someones head. I actually loved the twitching because it made me feel uncomfortable, with just the voice I think it wouldn't have felt right and would have come off weird or comical but having the body language change and the sharp, twitching movements made it was pretty sinister.

I mean I get it that Lu is his father but he is so manipulative and even tho Jack is a smarty Lu is still stronger in some way. I agree w your opinion bout Mary but I think she meant to stay for so long till everything’s fine but still...glad she’s reunited w her boys again so let’s forget what she said. We have Ketch back💙 Let’s show Ketch some appreciation for fighting w Charlie and taking care of her....kinda. Michael killing Gabriel...I’m done. Rowena saved everyone. Literally💙

2021-05-08 23:12:24 +0000 UTCFirst off, I'll always defend Mary lol. But I get your frustration with her in this epsiode. I completely understand her wanting to stay and help these people, they are being slaughtered at the moment, but the way she went about it seemed very cold. Sam and Dean spent practically all season trying to get her back and she was so indifferent to that. I do think Sam and Dean worked really well together this episode. Dean put a lot of trust in Sam which I always love to see.

2021-05-08 13:36:09 +0000 UTCAnother very enjoyable episode to watch and your reaction and points of view breath some fresh air into it. I love Misha's acting here yet again. Him playing another character is always a delight to see for his acting skills alone. About the Alternate Universe Cas's grace I always thought about it like it is a wasted opportunity to have our Castiel back at full power. In the end, Cas has had his grace extracted before and he was still the same Angel, rendered human because he lacked his grace, and ultimately powered down once he was able to have it back. This AU Castiel has his grace intact. It was the perfect opportunity to replace his grace and for Castiel to be back at full power as he was until the season 8 finale. I look forward to watching the finale with you in a few days and the bloopers. Cheers!

Lucifer knew all of the ingredients for the spell to create a rift and all of the ingredients exist in that world. By doing that he gave Michael all he needed to invade their world. He should have let Lucifer come back (preventing Michael from knowing how to get to their world) and found another way to deal with him. In a way everything that happens to them next is Sam's fault

2021-05-04 12:59:39 +0000 UTCI think the actress who plays Mary samantha smith is so talented but I always get annoyed at the way she is written sometimes while I can understand her wanting to protect the people in the AU world she is still so cold towards Sam and Dean sometimes, this episode was pretty decent but like with most of this season I am like you just tired of Lucifer and his dramatics

It is refreshing to see that even if Dean still gets mad and tries to control everything and every one around him, he has grown enough to let Sam take the lead. But they do like to linger around portholes to see their allies get killed. It is quite anoying since they know and we know that they cannot do a thing to change the situation. So, save yourselves, boys! You are no good to anybody if you are dead or trapped in another world! The Wayward Sisters cannot always come to save you two, since that have Sioux Falls to protect! lol.

Indeed, it was important for Jack to make his own choice in hearing Lucifer out, like you said he is quite intelligent. So now it's on to the finale and then Season bloody 14! Holy crap.

2021-05-03 23:34:20 +0000 UTCMan, it was cringe-y in the beginning when Dean was trying so hard to keep Lucifer away from Jack even though I really, really understand why. That kind of approach just makes it easier to slip through the cracks and manipulate. Didn't you learn, Dean??? Trying to control everybody never works! It's like an adopted kid wanting to know their shitty bio parent only for the adopted family to shame them. I thinkkk Sam came up with that plan on the fly because he is a peace-keeper and could read that Mary had made up her mind. Dean was ( once more ) trying to control the situation while Sam worked to figure out a way for everyone to come together -- so that might be why he was just like, lol, okay, how do we do this?? haha. I didn't care much for Gabriel's death... that, and Misha's other version of Castiel were both terrrrible. I liked Ketch's "You saving me for once" thing since he has been saving them recently only to be back at the bad kids' corner heh.

2021-05-03 23:30:15 +0000 UTCThis was a very tense episode. I worried that one of the boys was going to get stuck in the other world. Lucifer was so annoying, when Mary hi him in the face you just go, YES. I also didn't quite understand Mary saying she wanted to stay because they needed her. I guess it was just more painful to be around her sons knowing what her decisions had put them through. Loved when Dean hugged Sam at the beginning and then looked around to make sure no one was watching. Was nice to see Dean let Sam take charge more with the decisions. Liked when Sam hugged Charlie, but let go and said sorry as he realized she has no idea who he is. Sad to see Gabriel die and that Lucifer is making a deal with Michael to get to Earth. Don't like Jack calling Lucifer his father, even though technically he is. Will wait patiently for next weeks reaction to the finale and premier of season 14.

2021-05-03 23:28:27 +0000 UTCYou know, my shipper heart is here for the little things (sadly) and I loved how married Cas and Dean seems when, without asking, Cas knows where the handcuffs are and Dean just rolls with it 🥰 “I always have a good feeling about you Bobby” well.. its time to bring back the time when you didn’t trust Bobby 🥰 As for Mary, I think she doesn’t know how to be around the boys, specially seen what they been trough, even if she knows thar if she wouldn’t have done the deal it would have lead to that other apocalypse, not that thats an excuse but I see where that comes from. Poor Jack, every one seems to forget that he’s just like a year old and has gone trough a lot, doesn’t know how to process all his emotions and instead people just tells him what to do or what not to do instead of helping him figures things out and learn how to deal with everything. Im kind of glad that the season finale is next week so I have time to prepare for the CRINGE, although Im very curious to hear your thoughts on that. See you in the next one ✌🏻

I wish Sam had really made his "I'll take care of him" moment a lot more painful and permanent. 👿 You yelling at them to hurry through the portal was also me. Hahaha. Bobby's speech "Welcome to the family" gets me in the feels! I wonder how many times the boys have given that to other cast and crew. Then they finally get their own. Awe! 🥰🤗

The way she is written just makes me not like her, as I am so protective of the boys, and she keeps saying and doing things that hurt them. While there are some caring moments they are only when she has nothing else going on. If there is anything else to do, she would still rather do that than hang with her boys. Technically, staying behind to help the AU world is the heroic thing for her to do. However, for me it is when she says to them “I know what you’ve been through,” and Dean just scoffs. Clearly she only knows surface level because she never cares to sit and stay with them, talk to them and find out. It hits Dean deeply because he is all about putting family #1. I did like when she punched Lucifer in the face, though, because same! Love that you really aren’t sure what is going to happen in the next episode. Those deep in the fandom had an inkling of what one of the key plot points would be, so it will be fun to watch an unspoiled reaction.
