Rating - 2/10 - THAT JUMP SCARE CAME FROM THE DEVIL HIMSELF!! Just kidding, 10/10 episode guys! Great introduction to the new season guys. Very happy with that premiere. Not so happy with the boys lying to each other - but when am I ever?! They DO NOT learn! The darkness is eerie as anything & i'm extremely intrigued as to what will come of it (her?) IDK. Enjoyed the heart to heart in this episode & i'm glad we had them reflect on their purpose & values. Cas & Sam getting infected/cursed...so help me god!! Dean being 'connected' to The Darkness - I haaaaate it!! Hope you enjoy the reaction all.

Many years with this show now and I’m a late comer, I can totally understand (and I’m a lil jealous of) those that have watched from the very beginning. So funny knowing that now. I was really intrigued as to what that bleeped out spoiler was in the con reaction vid haha. I hate that I’m still a sucker for those jump scares haha. I’ve not spotted that regarding the way Deans been written but I’ll keep a look out moving forward. I think I read it as they make him more ‘real’ as in no one is perfect and everyone has flaws and these are his type of deal. Just the way I’ve perceived it. Saaaame!! It just has to be Mark. I know Ruby 2 seems more likeable by most, I took a shine to Ruby 1. I think this mainly was because of the chemistry with her and Dean.

2020-09-11 11:22:23 +0000 UTCYay! Onward to season 11. This is amazing that you've come this far. The darkness smoke was what Jared was referring to in that one SPN Convention Compilation Ash did. The segment where they were talking about farts and Ash bleeped out what Jared said and put the word "spoiler" over it. He was talking about the Darkness smoke and in the second episode Dean refers to it as a "giant, crazy, fart". lol I love that you're still susceptible to jump scares. The show hasn't gotten too tame then. There seem to have been more actually scary things in season 1 than we see now. Now it's maybe more just morbid, dark. Or just seems that way to me since I've watch the series a few times over since then. I have a certain pet peeve with the writers. There are times when I'm really pissed at how the writer's treat Dean. Making him act like a dick in a way that really isn't in character for him. Yes, he has tendencies, but they don't seem to "get it" and it comes off wrong. They've enlarged some traits and reduced others. It's almost like some of them really don't like Dean some times. Mark Shephard is the only one who can play Crowley. I would have not accepted it if they'd gotten another actor to play him. Unlike with Ruby when they switched, Crowley has been played by Mark for many years and it's set. About Ruby - I actually prefer Ruby 2 myself. I'm sure Crowley is going to think of something for Rowena, but I think Crowley already got some revenge against her by helping the brothers break the Mark of Cain curse when Rowena had to kill the only person she ever loved. I think that's the whole reason he decided to help them. He knew it would hurt her and he wanted to see that and be the one to make that possible. While it was noble of Sam to stay behind and try to save everyone, it was a bit shortsighted. Sam's overly optimistic plan didn't quite work out as he planned. He wasn't able to hold them off. They got to him. Good thing he was already infected. But, he was able to find a cure. So he did good. Would have been nicer if Dean had stayed there too, but that would have risked the baby. ugh

2020-09-09 01:01:05 +0000 UTCSo many people love this season. I think I am bored by young Amara, I guess, though I do like these first two episodes. So I don’t love it as a season, yet as individual episodes, there are so many I like. So maybe I will get a different feel as I rewatch it again.
