The Canadian Education Programme for Foreign Podcasters 13: Polka Dot Door w/ Caitlin Durante
Added 2022-11-24 19:05:18 +0000 UTCA show that's perhaps a little more memorable to John than Stefan, we have returning guest Caitlin Durante (Bechdel Cast) on to talk about a beloved Ontario-based children's show: Polka Dot Door. With songs and stories and so much more, we break down the truly baffling special episode "Polkaroo's Birthday", in which the strange creature we call "Polkaroo"--a portmanteau of "polka dot" and "kangaroo" forgets it's his birthday, and the show's 5 (!!) hosts try to track him down. It's bizarrely paced, strangely edited, and as Canadian as television shows get.

2022-11-24 21:03:57 +0000 UTCI could hear the theme song exactly. "Elliot Moose, is on the loose, Elliot Moose, is on the loose" about this psycho of a moose thats mowing down everything in its path etc and he's gonna get ya.

2022-11-24 21:02:05 +0000 UTCI wish the Discord worked for me for this. Following the moose discourse, I remembered there HAD been a horror TV show about a moose. "Elliot Moose" (French "Elliot Caribou"), the 1999 cartoon produced by TVOntario and Tele-Quebec.
