15M Home Yoga Routine - GOMUKHASANA
Added 2022-02-27 21:27:27 +0000 UTCNamaste! How's everyone doing during in these final few weeks of WINTER?
I'm happy to be back at home and in the yoga studio. Actually, now it's the Yoga, Meditation, and Fitness Studio! The aerial rig is set up and I've added a Bosu balance trainer! Not to mention I am facing my mat in a new direction! How exciting, I know.
Ok, this routine is probably the best "Yoga for beginners" class that I've ever sequenced. One of the things that makes it such a good class for beginners is that it takes you into the deeper isometric action of the arms, shoulders, and upper back.
Isometric action plays a huge part in learning and advancing asanas.
During isometric action, the muscle tissue is toned while the joints are held stable. It can look like a static pose but the degree of concentration and effort is high. As the action holds the position of bones and joint stable, there is an opportunity for deeper awareness throughout the musculoskeletal system.
In this 15min practice video, think about this power of isometric action as you lift your arms in mountain!
I hope you enjoy this video.
See you next week!
PS: Now that my home yoga-meditation-fitness studio is complete the videos will resume priority :)
