See, Kobe Bryant dropped 81 points on the Toronto Raptors while being guarded by Jalen Rose, and Jalen gets triggered any time someone tweets "81" at him. John did that, and picked up the block, and as we said, we had planned to record it a week earlier at 2 pm on Sunday, January 26th, and Kobe Bryant passed earlier that morning.
It was a weird coincidence, and we debated changing the subject, but the episode ends up being a timely tribute to Kobe's legacy, as the guys talk about venerating sports heroes/role models who have a questionable past, what the right response is online after someone famous dies, and dealing with death in general.
But don't worry, the episode isn't all doom and gloom as John talks about one of the best sports tweets ever, John and Sunee open some more Funko Pops, and Sunee gets us ranking the worst sneakers of all-time. It's a good one, folks.
