What's up everyone!
Here is a new yoga session for you to follow along with. In this class, I am using two 4in Foam Yoga Blocks. By the way, I'm sharing the backyard with some furry friends, so in this video you will see cameo appearances from a fluffy white husky/malamute and an elegant orange cat!
I'm very happy to be filming outside again, and I look forward to making each new video more creative and appealing with application of photo/videography techniques.
Here are some notes to help guide you through the main segments of this class:
>>Beginning at 3min in the video, I transition my hands onto the blocks to create more engagement in my core body. Practice the core pulse in plank pose (with blocks), and then stretch your legs.
>>At 4:40min in the video, I increase the fun with core rhythm in pouncing puppy pose into plank (with blocks). The previous benefits (bullet-points) are gained from the blocks being under the hands, with additional concentration on the tucked toes / spiked heels as an anchor for the body to spring and pull back. The result? You feel it through your entire core!
>>At 6min, I begin simple yet strong shoulder stretches. First, I sit on my heels in diamond seat pose. Next, I practice the stretches again with block between my feel for an elevated seat.
>>At 9min, I lie back into supported bridge with a block under my sacrum. This transitions into single leg lifts, and modified shoulder stand (with both legs lifted).
>>At 11min, it's time to relax in reclined cobbler with a block under each thigh.
Enjoy the after glow of your practice!
