Cross Signals v0.1 Coming Next Week! And New Patreon Tiers!

Hi there patrons!

We've been a little quiet recently as we gear up for the first release of Crossed Signals. But don't mistake that silence for lack of work as we've just completed major development for the first early access release of the Visual Novel! We'll share more about what to expect from version 0.1 next week, but for now, know that there's two full days of story to read, multiple fully-expressive sprites (including post-swap sprites) and over a dozen in-progress CGs.

But, in order to download that early-access build, most of you will need to sign up for one of the new tiers that gets you access to the new project. That's why we released a new tier system for the Patreon today. We alluded to it previously, but now we've got everything nailed down and available to sign up for.

We'll break down the list here:

Sugar & Spice

$1/ month

You get:

• Our thanks
• A special Discord role marking you as a supporter

Coffee Buns Supporter

$5 / Month

You get:

• Every early access release of Coffee Buns between now and its completion (via a download link that is posted in a paywalled post)
• A Discord role

This is the renamed, pre-existing $5 Tier to which most of our users are already subscribed. You will receive Coffee Buns updates when they are available, but will not receive Crossed Signals updates unless you join the other $5 Tier or any of the higher tiers.

Crossed Signals Supporter

$5 / Month

You get:

• Every early access release of Crossed Signals between now and its completion (via a download link that is posted in a paywalled post)
• A Discord role

This is a new tier that you have to sign up for in order to receive Crossed Signals early updates. You can also sign up for any of the higher tiers below to receive access. You do not receive Coffee Buns updates with this tier.

Hot Crossed Bun

$8 / Month

You get:

• Every early access release of Crossed Signals and Coffee Buns between now and their completion (via integration with your Itch.io account)
• A Discord role

Cinnamon Roll

$10 / Month

You get:

• Every early access release of Crossed Signals and Coffee Buns between now and their completion (via integration with your Itch.io account)
• Updates featuring in-progress art for both Crossed Signals and Coffee Buns
• A sticker featuring Cinnamon Switch characters in the mail every month (must have an address in your Patreon profile)
• A Discord role

Ultimate Cinner

$25 / Month

You get:

• Every early access release of Crossed Signals and Coffee Buns between now and their completion (via integration with your Itch.io account)
• Updates featuring in-progress art for both Crossed Signals and Coffee Buns
• A sticker featuring Cinnamon Switch characters in the mail every month
• A Discord role

Q: When will the first version of Coffee Buns be released?
A: Our plan is to release v0.1 of Coffee Buns featuring two days of story before the end of October.

Q: How frequently are you planning on releasing updates for Coffee Buns and Crossed Signals?
A: Since we're working on both at the same time, we're going to splitting efforts between the two. However, each project is going to be the focus of different sides of the development team, so it's not like we're going to work on one, drop it for a month, and then work on the other. With that in mind, we plan to release updates for both projects every month, and we won't allow a project to go more than 2 months without an update.

Q: What about the cameo tiers?
A: We had to retire the previous cameo tiers, but we enjoyed the process of featuring supporter characters in Mice Tea and we will likely bring back cameo tiers in the future.
