2025-02-08 21:53:34 +0000 UTCI think it’s pretty normal for the sit-on kayaks to take on a decent amount of water after just one trip. We drain ours after every trip and they take on more water than you think they would. Also, if all your scupper holes are unplugged you might take on water quicker from the bottom, but if you’re getting a lot of water in from the top from rain and waves you’ll want at least some of them open to drain that water. Draining the kayak each day should work I think and the air pockets or foam inside the kayak should prevent you from sinking completely.
