Latvia!
Added 2023-09-08 18:22:59 +0000 UTCI’m touring on one wheel again! Yeah, I didn’t think I’d be jumping back on a unicycle anytime soon either, but 5 years on from the world tour my backside finally felt rested enough to tempt me back in the saddle!
This time I’m on a 27.5’’ mountain unicycle from unicycle.com, with a stripped down bikepackinge-esque setup. Having said that, I’m still hauling a decent amount of stuff - you can blame the camera gear for that!
So where am I? Latvia!
I’m already a week into my off-road tour across the country - following the Baltic forest trail. Officially it’s a hiking route, but large sections of it have proved unicycle-able. In the same breath, many section have not, but I don’t mind walking.
The route is 674km in total and I think I’ve covered around 1/3 of it so far. If all’s well I’ll reach the Lithuania border (the end point of this ride) in about 2 weeks.
I don’t know how often, if at all, I’ll be posting on here. To be honest I’ve really enjoyed being a bit more disconnected. But do know I’m capturing everything and with any luck I’ll have a shiny new unicycle tour series dropping on YouTube by the end of the year.
Anyhoo, that’s all from me. I’m now gunna continue wiggling my way through the forest :)

Enjoy Latvia! We appreciate the update, but don’t worry about staying super connected. You may as well fully enjoy your time in nature, rather than interrupting it frequently to communicate with people online. I’m sure we’ll catch up with you soon enough.
