PLEASE ASK ME A QUESTION

I’m planning to record a Q&A video next week. Please ask me any question your heart desires about my world unicycle tour and I’ll do my best to answer it. The more specific the better.

(As Patrons, I'll also try and prioritise yours)

Cheers!

Mad respect, (stinky) clothes pillows are the real deal

Parker Summers

I had a klymit x frame - this very light weight sleeping pad. And always just used clothes as a pillow

Ed Pratt

Did you sleep on / use something as a pillow ?

Parker Summers

Last I heard, you were planning another adventure using a tandem bike. Have you gotten it yet?

Theneal77

Hi Ed, when were you the most frightened of a situation while camping or on the road? How did you handle it?

Sam Richardson

Thanks for the opportunity, Ed. Bit of a grim one... Especially given your video on a similar topic, I'm assuming you suffered / suffer from the dreaded 'crotch rot'. If you managed to get rid, what was the best product / solution for you? And how did you go about trying to keep shorts clean etc while on your trip? Assuming you had 2 or 3 pairs of shorts in rotation?

Ben Cooper

Sorry if these are a bit personal, Ed... How much did you typically spend on a daily basis and where did your pocket money come from? ... Have the saddle sores healed now? ... After 3 years on the road, what's it been like living in one place?...I imagine you're not in Bishkek for the atmosphere alone, how is the tandem riding going there?! ;-)

Aye Pea

1. Have you at long last found the perfect saddle? If not, is there anyone developing one for you? 2. You appear happy to eat just about anything. Was their one meal which would be very happy not to repeat? 3. Where is the little dinosaur now?

Andrew Edsor

Hey Ed, it was really great to meet you at the home coming and Home Farm. I’ve got a couple of questions- How much and what food did you regularly carry and how much water would you need to have available at the end of the day for cooking and camping overnight? Pete

Pete Evered

Hi Ed, well done on complete you amazing trip around the world. I would love to do something like that. I have few questions 1. How did you laid out the plan from start to finish? Did you plan it yourself or research with other people who had do similar trip like this before? 2. What drone is it that you were using called? 3. Which one was your worst & favourite country to visit and why?

Nicholas Nowell

Ed, YouTube just suggested your home coming video. I've been bing watching your America tour and have decided to support you. Thank you for the adventure while we're staying in.

Stas T Wright

Thank you for this opportunity to ask questions. Here are three more for you: 1) What is the one item or tool (besides the unicycle) that you felt contributed the most to your trip's success? And what is one item or tool that, in hindsight, you wish you had brought with you (or brought with you sooner). 2) Why are you back in Kyrgyzstan? Was there something about that country that made you want to go back there vs. all of the other places you visited? (I have my suspicions, but I don't want to make any assumptions. ;-) ) 3) Based on your adventures, what language do you think would be the most useful to learn on a similar type of trip? In other words, what language did you see as the most widely used during your travels that might have been useful to know. Obviously you got around just fine without second language fluency (and your Russian seemed to get pretty good!) but just wondering if you ever thought "Wow, a lot of people in the world speak ______. That would be a really handy language to know."? Thank you again!

Mark Moran

What was your biggest fear when you started thetrip and when you ended the trip?

Lodewijk

Hi Ed, congrats on completing your adventure! Well done on shooting and editing so well, it was compelling from start to finish. I'm a recent follower and I've binged hard. How "outdoorsy" were you before setting off? You seemed so comfortable camping out by yourself in remote places (and even some graveyards) — did that get easier as you travelled or did you already know what you were doing? Congrats again and looking forward to whatever you do next.

Brian White

What was the most difficult country to unicycle through, in terms of communication issues with people, bad drivers, corrupt police, or extreme weather conditions?

Edward Hook

Do you still own the Uni? and if not what did you do with it?

Bryn Hagley

How much did you feel like you were creating the "narrative" of each day as you were filming it versus as you were editing it?

Noah Fatsi

As a result of your trip, have others reached out to you about attempting the same thing? How would you feel about others attempting to follow in your footsteps and unicycle around the world?

Sabrina Sturgeon

What was your favorite country to visit, what was your favorite stop/location overall and what would be the first thing you would do differently if you had to do it all over again? You're quite the inspiration Ed! My wife and I loved following you on your trips! Not only is what you did amazing, your video editing skills are phenomenal! Cheers!!

Jacob Zells

Dude, you are an inspiration, you are one of the main reasons I now cycle around Bristol and in my 29" unicycle, and because of you I am planning to go from Bristol to Lisbon on my unicycle!!! 3 years is a long time, my question is, after this period of travelling and going thru all the amazing and sometimes hard times in your adventures, how are you coping with coming back to the "normal" world, was it a hard transition to go back to sleep in a bed and eating at a table every day? Much love x

Filipe Alves

Thanks for letting us contribute. First of all - stay safe! Now to the questions - - - Do you have a specific career goal in mind? Are you continuing university studies? If so, in what field?

Warren Snaider

Hey Ed, congratulations on your journey! Of all the countries you have ridden through which would you recommend the most in terms of hospitality, scenery etc? How you did find it psychologically transitioning from riding with others or having your parents visit to riding on your own? Did you find it easier the more times this happened?

Mikey Delasalle

My 7 year old son (Travis) would like to know how many times you face planted on your trip.

Jeek Federico

Hey Ed! First congrats for your success, finally watched the last video yesterday, what an adventure ! Something more related to touring: how much water and food did you had on you? Where did you find refill for both usually? And how much where you consuming on a daily basis? I’m also planning a long distance touring but my most worry is water and food !

Adrien Robert

What do you think is next for you? In regards to youtube, life and so on

Nathan K Painter

What have you been up to after the trip?

Lyle

how did you cope with loneliness throughout your trip?

Nathan K Painter

If you had to start your whole trip again, is there anything you would do differently?
