I think it's time you found about the series 'What If' Sides Stories. Every year on April Fools/Natsuki Subaru’s birthday, the author releases a “What IF” Story. These are stories that look into the decisions of Subaru, and what would have happened if he did something else in a loop. And one of those is the 'Sloth What If', which during the moment Subaru asks Rem to run away with him and instead of rejecting his 'once in a lifetime proposal', she accepted and the two of them ran away together and there's a whole story on what happened afterwards. Unfortunately there's no actual English Translations of the What If Side Stories and they can be read by websites that translated them. 2024-02-09 01:50:47 +0000 UTCAh, the episode where it gave alot of viewers mixed feelings. And were Rem Lover's felt heartbroken during Subaru's, "I love Emilia." confession. Yes it's quite disappointing after all that. Though the entirety of the episode was about getting Subaru out of the deepest hole he's ever gotten in up to that point. Plus, Rem doesn't just 'love' the Subaru who doesn't give up. She also loves the Subaru who 'loves' Emilia. And to be fair, she rejected his 'once in a lifetime proposal' to run away together first.
