only on page 33 but really enjoying it so far LOL I’ll finish it in a few days and include my thoughts in the beginning of Meeting #2 HOWEVER, I need YOUR thoughts. comment on this post if you’ve read it, or listened to it, or experienced it in any way with your opinions so I can examine, inspect and assess our overall understanding of the scripture known as “Why Fish Don’t Exist”

okay i finished it late but i’ll comment anyway. while i enjoyed this book and following her story and learning about david and eugenics, i feel like i didn’t actually get anything from it. i really hate nihilism and i fight against it at every turn so her story of working through it just did nothing for me. to me, wether we matter or not literally doesn’t matter whatsoever because we’re here anyway so i never even think about that. i just love finding beauty in the world in the cracks between all the darkness and i love that through all the shit we deal with people still care about each other. that’s all that matters to me.

2023-04-02 23:17:41 +0000 UTCfish terrify me .. but i truly did enjoy this book. my dumbass thought it was fiction until i realized it wasn’t and that david starr jordan was real and also the worst ever??? soo fuck david starr jordan all my homies hate david starr jordan! but i did genuinely enjoy this book, and i think lulu miller really does have a beautiful way with words. i really enjoyed the way she saw the world especially when talking about anna and mary and the web of impact we have on the people around us. overall i rated it 5 stars because i learned something New and i thought she wrote very beautifully
