Now Accepting Commissions!

After a successful trial period with a generous patron in January, I’m happy to confirm taking on commissions from this point forward. As a brief disclaimer, seeing as this would be my first time officially doing these in a good while, I’m sure there will be some teething problems here and there as I adjust.

To start things off, I’m accepting commissions at $10 per 1K, with a 2K minimum. Right now, I’m not looking to take on commissions that hit a specific word count, instead focusing on the writing process itself and seeing where the word count ends based on the client’s outline. We can of course add/trim according to the client’s budget. If I’m comfortable enough in the future with comms, this approach may change.

I’ll have only three slots open, to begin with, with the potential for more if I’m comfortable. These slots will be open between both Patreon and Deviantart, but neither platform will be favoured over the other, as I would ask any clients interested to contact me via Discord — details for which are below. Once all slots have been taken, the window of opportunity will close, and will only reopen for future comms once the current bunch has been written/released. As I write content exclusively for Patreon as well, I will be juggling both it and these potential comms, so please bear with potentially waiting a few weeks before the window opens again.

As this would be my first time taking commissions in a good while, I would prefer, for the time being, if clients first approached with standalone/one-off ideas as opposed to multi-chapter concepts. By extension, I would also prefer if such standalone ideas weren’t tied to any established IPs — movies, games, TV series, etc — and featured original characters, whether the client’s own or designed specifically for the content. I may be open to accepting serial concepts in the future.

If approaching for a commission, I would ask if all clients’ ideas were as detailed as possible. This assures I can focus wholly on the writing process and have minimal time needing to confer with the client over what could end up being a trivial detail. Of course, the commission having more detail does not guarantee I will accept it and may still decline.

I’m investing heavily in content for Patreon. To that end, I would ask if clients who approached were open to letting their commission be added to my Patreon as content for the platform. Clients are open to discussing an exclusivity period of their choice for their comm if they would like, though the commission will eventually land on Deviantart anyway.
