Glory Days Chapter 8

I had a lot of fun writing this one. As a concept, it seems Glory Days is a favourite for not just you guys, but myself. On occasion, I find chapters going over double the usual word count (2000) but I think this is actually the first time when I've gone even further. As the first piece of the new year, I would like to think of that as a sign of good things to come down the road. Hopefully, content over the rest of the year is either just as good or, fingers crossed, even better.
As always, let me know your thoughts on the content. Was it to your liking? Better than expected? Where do you think things could be improved? I'm forever striving to be not just a better writer in the general sense, but as a storyteller, too, so all the feedback is helpful.
