In the event of this change, I've made the decision to experiment a little bit by changing the payment schedule from "Per Creation" to "Monthly" for that month as well. Bearing in mind I'm upping the content quota to three releases, I believe this may act as the next natural step forward for the page. However, it will only go forward in August as an experiment first, to ensure it works well on both sides. Depending how it pans out after then, it may become permanent -- depending how I feel afterwards.
When the Monthly campaign experiment starts in August, the buy-in for the content will be $10 each month, with three releases. Assuming there are patrons who pledge their support for the three releases each month in the current "Per Creation" schedule, they would actually be saving money in the "Monthly" format.
With the Monthly format in place, some things will be different. With the Per Creation format, patrons were charged per release, but with Monthly, their pledge is charged at the start of each month. With the Monthly format in place, the content updates will be written after the pledges are charged at the beginning of each month, as opposed to them being written between charges, which is the current format.
