Less than Weekly Update
Added 2021-09-21 19:56:37 +0000 UTCIn the last few weeks there were some fairly major heating problems with our work/rendering computer and with parts that are bullshit difficult to get as they are now we did NOT want to burn out a graphics card and just be stuck (or pay scalper prices). On top of that technical issues with our software and scenes that just weren't up to the quality we've aimed for so far with Eros Sector.
This series of problems have slowed down development and put us behind where we wanted to be by this point.
That being said, we've managed to work around those issues and are back up to our previous working pace. Additionally we’ve got enough backups in place that if something more serious happens there shouldn’t be any lost work.
The upcoming weeks should see us replacing some older assets for higher quality ones, doing finishing passes on this mission's script, and getting the last few scenes rendered. Hopefully that means the next release isn't far off as we continue working hard.
