I thought it would be fun to revisit the Hyper Girls I created back in the nineties with a little better rendering!
On the far left is Julie - she's a big cuddle-bug. She's also a bit lazy - she mostly wants to pet animals, drink hot cocoa, read comics and watch cartoons. That might be due to a peculiarity of her biology - she's actually always a little nervous and shy, but weirdly, the more relaxed and comfortable she becomes, the more it works her muscles. Working out not only doesn't effect her, it bores her - however, a good deep tissue massage can make those muscles swell obscenely! In some ways she absolutely refuses to grow up, and while she cares enough about people to be responsible if she really HAS to, getting her to do things is a chore in itself!
Sofi, in the middle, is a bit of a contradiction On one hand, in a way she is enormously self absorbed - she loves her own muscles. She loves to pump them, flex them, nuzzle them, make them bigger - not that she doesn't like people. She loves people - particularly people who are either good competition, or love her muscles as much as she does. Ironically, when she isn't focusing on her own mass, she's generous and caring, and often ends up feeling bad about how self absorbed she can get - she doesn't MEAN to ignore people, just - look at this bicep! When she isn't working out, (or enjoying the feeling of her muscles growing) she volunteers at food kitchens and animal shelters where she often confuses her co-workers by switching between moments of hard work, playful banter and compassion, and wasting an hour talking about the peak on the bicep on the back of her leg....
The girl on the far right is Lina - she is actually the strongest of them, but she has a comparatively hard time gaining muscle. It seems her muscle fibers are just so strong something has to be obscenely heavy to give her a workout. She is constantly on the look out for a challenge. She'll try anything from junkyards, to shipyards, and even decommissioned Nuclear Reactors. She was the first one who started playing the Superhero role, and she sometimes manages to get the other girls to follow suit. Strangely, she often comes of as cool and aloof - part of that is just because she has a soft, flat voice and manner - however she expresses her emotions clearly in dance, music, and poetry. She also has this quirk for dramatic poses that the other girls love to tease her for.
