What to Expect from the Lab
Added 2022-03-05 21:27:30 +0000 UTCI'm posting this to what amounts to our bulletin board so that everyone can see what the lab's goals and ambitions are. After all, it's hard to keep a lab running if nobody knows the protocols - it leads to explosions everywhere. And not even the fun ones!
First of all I will be uploading every Monday with at least one black and white image, at least one color image, and a written short on one of our many female muscle expansion volunteers. Any polls or surveys for the higher tiers will post then as well. Only one out of my four updates will be released elsewhere, probably on DA and Twitter, so three out of every four updates will ONLY be available to people on my Patreon page. While at the moment more updates are theoretically possible, I learned a long time ago that there's always unforeseen fluctuations so I'd rather stick with a schedule that even my purple reanimated hand would have no problems maintaining.
And don't mind the purple reanimated hand - his name is Walter and he's a good boy.
On a slightly less cheerful note, because of a few people hopping on and off just to nab artwork, I will be changing the settings so that when you enroll, the first payment will be taken immediately (of course it will revert to the first of the month after that). As usual it only takes a few people to spoil things, but with that business out of the way, we can move on to more positive subjects.
Game related concept art and discussions will post every two weeks, which brings us to the next critical topic - the game itself. First of all, the game I'm going to discuss now (and any future games or concepts) will be for Patreon members ONLY, so those of you that are helping support me don't have to worry about them showing up for free elsewhere. The only exception I might consider is online teasers - like a single round FMG card-game or the like that just points back to my Patreon page. Also, if I finish this game, it won't be the last - I'll either keep upgrading it and adding levels, monsters, and content over time, or I'll move on to other games (I have at least three concepts floating in my brain-jar). So again, higher tier members don't have to feel like they are paying for content that will be one and done - work will continue, hopefully, as long as the jumper cables can keep me alive. And the Tesla coils - what would a mad scientist be without his Tesla coils?
Finally - about the game itself. I'll start with the rough story since that's what the upper tiers need to know to get an idea of what kind of character or creature they get to create!
The main character is basically a female Indiana Jones - picture Lara Croft with more muscle than an 80's action hero. She has been collecting gold and scriptures from the Knights Templar, trying to uncover both the reason for their insane influx of wealth and their brutal demise. This leads her to a buried temple, a place where "The scorpion and owl hold court over the law of the worm". In that place is a buried church to Sofia, the incarnation of divine wisdom and the hidden female element of the Hebrew god - but *underneath that* is a much more ancient temple. Here a number of primordial creator goddesses have been sealed. The ritual is reinforced every decade - the purity of the goddesses is bled, and the process of weakening and binding them sweats solid gold from their icons. The Knights Templar (and any previous or later adherents) have basically treated these Creatrixes as demons, and gathered both vast wealth and favor from their own deities by binding and draining their feminine counterparts. However, there is only so much purity to be had before it twists them into monsters, and there is no gold left to drain from them, only wrath and chaos. However, if someone were to sacrifice the gold that was bled from them *back* to them, they could be purified, and returned to their original creative impulses .
Knowing that there isn't much time to keep them from unleashing their frustration and rage on the world, our main character realizes she has just enough Templar gold in her possession to possibly purify ONE of the goddesses.
Which one you pick effects your powers and later transformations.
This goddess is restored to a less monstrous state and blesses you with the power of transformation and the ability to teleport to the many temples of the feminine divine that remain hidden in the world. In return, she charges you with gathering the spiritual power of all the other goddesses within their own temples, facing their guardians, and overcoming their avatars (through a card game - consider it divine strip poker with an FMG element). With the conquest of each temple, the guardians and goddesses within will worship you for your victory.
Heh - yup, orgies. Post victory orgies every time....ahem. Maybe neither you or your goddesses intentions are all that pure.... but they are FUN!
With each temple your goddess will grow more powerful and muscular - and as a result, your own transformations will become more extreme each time as well, and more and more questions about her intentions will be raised. In the end, you will have to face that goddesses dark side. Either way, SOMETHING is going to become a mass monster that bursts out of both the ancient and Templar temple.
Functionally, each temple will be a bit like a pretty, anime, FMG version of Pac-man: you work through mazes gathering black coins burning with spiritual energy and being pursued by the muscular female guardians of that temple - anything from Amazons, to female Golems, or even lady Were Hyenas. If you hit a power up, you transform into something that sends them scrambling. Depending on the Patron Goddess you pick, you have the ability to crash through walls, throw stone slabs, crack the ground with hulk like stomps - generally cause devastation until the effect wears off and the angered guardians turn back on you. The more spiritual coins you gather, the bigger and more muscular your patron becomes, and, similarly, the more extreme and powerful your transformations become. Again, once you gather all the coins in a maze, you will be transported into a room where you confront a vision of the ruling goddess of that temple, and you essentially play a simplified version of strip poker.
Ultimately I want to start relatively simple, just a few goddesses and monsters, just a few levels. Over time I will add more goddesses, more levels, possible side quests, and even separate games based on, say, the strip poker or even "dating sims" based on elements of the story. Heh, hopefully making the characters muscles a bit larger each time.....
The basic theme if you'd like is mythological. I already have a mix of mythologies in mind, one boss is based on Sekmet, the Lion-headed goddess of destruction inEgyptian mythology, another is Coatlicue, which is an Aztec death goddess that is half bat. If you really want to stretch, I can even picture Templar gold being melted down and being used as switches and soldering in computers resulting in bizarre cyber-goddesses twisted from Tiamat or the like. The idea is that as long as it's a lady that can bulk up to insane muscular proportions pretty much anything can work with a bit of imaginative juice!
Of course if you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to fire a message at me - just try not to hit Walter, he's sensitive!

Oooh - granted I was thinking multiple temples, but I always love learning new things. I'll check it out. At the very least I can make it one of the temples, if not replacing the initial one! Thank you, very cool stuff!

2022-03-07 20:36:07 +0000 UTCIf were freeing trapped female goddesses I think having the seal be part of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey would be better. The worlds oldest known temple 9500 BCE, predating even the first city or permanent habitation, built by hunter gatherers. The link comes from the fact that of all the decorations and figures covering the buildings there are only a handful of women.

2022-03-07 20:24:41 +0000 UTCWe chatted over PMs, so you already know I am excited about this. Once you start putting something together, everyone here will be ready to throw ideas at you. XD

2022-03-06 07:39:56 +0000 UTCI totally agree! Admittedly it'll take time - relearning both the game engine and the background coding will be a project in itself. However, I figure if 15 year old me could bust out cheesy little games over a summer vacation, 45 year old me with better technology will get it down. Of course how much time I spend on it kind of depends on how well the Patreon goes. Heh, gotta pay the bills - and if this doesn't, it means I gotta spend time on things that do which leaves less for, y'know, game design and concepting. But I have to admit, the page grew a lot faster than I expected - so things are looking good!

2022-03-06 03:26:39 +0000 UTCThere aren't enough fmg games in this world. I hope your idea will be realized one day, and I really look forward to that day.

2022-03-06 03:11:11 +0000 UTCThanks man! Heh, initially I tried to post something like this in my introductory statement, but that didn't work. Once enough people asked and I realized I could pin stuff I decided to pin this to the top and make it open to everyone so first time visitors know what they're getting into!
