The story behind Time Alone
Added 2023-07-06 08:30:00 +0000 UTCThis Time Alone download was shot 5 years ago now. We borrowed a friend's rooftop sunroom and terrace in his very inner-city house. Mirco is a small Italian guy and I honestly can't remember how I met him. It may well have been through Instagram.
When you see Mirco in his work attire and out in the real world, he is quite the dandy, wearing quite stylish suits. It would be fair to say that he's not afraid of fashion at all so it was interesting to see him stripped down to his underwear and beyond for this shoot.
The shoot was intended to have a very similar vibe to my Home Alone download but ultimately Mirco was not as liberal with his nudity as Scott was which is totally fine. He started off slowly in his underwear but they didn't stay on long and I think he warmed up to the idea. The sun drenched terrace was still a beautiful place to shoot. When I borrow someone's home for a shoot I try and be very respectful of the space and not intrude. Most of the shoot we stuck to the beautiful dappled light that was on the terrace. We did take advantage of the stylish, minimalist shower my friend has at the end of the shoot. Always good.
A while ago we were talking to each other about doing a duo bed shoot with his boyfriend but it has never happened. I need to find another couple or duo willing to get wild in the bed series.
