It's just so sexy
Added 2023-06-28 09:03:41 +0000 UTCI've posted in the past that I think a lot of photographers of nude models, either male or female, are influenced quite strongly by things that turn them on, either directly or subconsciously.
I know that is definitely the case for me. Sexually I'm not turned on by swimwear, underwear, leather or any kind of "gear". That's why you rarely see me photograph people in underwear or swimwear and if they start in it, it has come off fairly soon into the shoot.
Something I have always found very visually appealing is a man showering, or men showering. Maybe it's the intimacy or the idea of seeing someone doing something that is usually done privately. The male body looks fantastic with water running down it, and the reflection of light on the wet skin highlighting muscles and ripples.
When I borrowed a friend's backyard pool recently for a couple of shots for the exhibition, I discovered that they had renovated their house and have a beautiful bathroom that I will definitely be borrowing for a shoot if they'll have me.
