The story of Garage
Added 2023-05-18 08:30:01 +0000 UTCBack in April of 2009 I collaborated with the sexy Kieran for our second photographic adventure. From memory I'd met Kieran through the blog that I used to run, and he'd messaged me expressing an interest in posing for me.
Just like our previous collaboration, NIGHT SWIM, this one was done late at night. We were shooting in the underground car park of the complex I was living in so to minimise the risk of someone catching us and being offended, we started at 2am.
GARAGE is a moody shoot because once again we were shooting using only the available light. When there isn't much light that means a longer exposure which means I have to use a tripod which I really am not wildly keen on. For anyone who has watched my behind the scenes videos, I move around a lot when I'm doing a shoot. It is just the way I work.
So, Kieran being the trooper that he is, had to not only deal with cold, dirty concrete floors but he also had to hold quite still for each shoot. Bless that man and his complete lack of shyness. He was only about 21 at the time but already quite self assured and very comfortable naked in front of the camera.
Lucky for him, my shoots tend to be fairly fast and he wasn't uncomfortable for long. From memory he might not have even bothered getting dressed when we went back into my apartment.
