The story of the Bohemian
Added 2023-04-14 09:33:54 +0000 UTCAfter a rough week of experiences with models, I'm not sure I should post this story but I will. It's next on my list to tell so here we go. Most of it is sweet.
Leonardo was an Italian traveller that I somehow stumbled across on Instagram. I reached out and asked him if he'd be interested in a shoot. It wasn't really a surprise when he said he'd never done a nude shoot but he did agree. He had a look that I'd always been intrigued by, the long haired free spirited looking guy it would make sense seeing walking up the beach with a surfboard under his arms and his board shorts riding low teasing people on the beach.
We went to one of Sydney's nude beaches that isn't too far from where he was living. It is a beach that features regularly in my shoots. It was quite a surprise how comfortable nude Leonardo seemed considering he'd never done a shoot. He happily posed full frontal and looked very at ease getting wet and sandy, his long curly hair sticking to his face and with a sprinkle of sand stuck in the curls.
Leonardo's English wasn't amazing but we communicated well enough during the shoot and over breakfast afterwards.
Afterwards is where it got a bit tricky. He had left town and like a couple of recent models, I think had a bit of remorse over posing nude. To be fair, some of the nuances of his message to me might have been lost due to the language barrier but a few months after releasing the shoot he sent a message a little freaked out that someone had sent him one of the images on twitter. His words were "I thought you were selling it as art, not for $6 like a loaf of bread". OUCH.
Firstly it's $9.95 to buy a download and secondly, calm the tone buddy. Anyway, I still really like most of the images in the download. And that is the story of Bohemian.
