There are a lot of reasons why a shoot might not get a good response in comparison to others. It could be the timing of the release, the style of the shoot or many other reasons. Sadly I have a feeling that there is some discrimination at play.
Australia has a reputation for it's "gentle racism" and I don't think some countries are far behind. The US is possibly more overt in it's racism. I have noticed that when I post guys that aren't white, latin or European, they get less traction on social media and in sales.
It's no secret that Asian guys seem to get the worst treatment with lots of Grindr profiles saying "no rice, no spice" or similar revolting racist statements and this week's release of "ORANGE" seems to include the Indian sub-continent in that category. I'm not going to go into the politics of attraction and whether it's "just a preference" but it does seem that we still have a problem. Sadly.
