Inspiration from way back

It was also in 2004 year after Francois Rousseau had been commissioned to photograph the Dieux Du Stade French Rugby calendar that went viral globally. They tried to pitch it as a calendar to entice women to watch Rugby. I definitely think it attracted more gay men to the sport than women.
When I am thinking about ideas for photo shoots every now and then I have a think to make sure I'm not just blatantly referencing something from my memory banks. While I don't believe I'd bw copying the work, it does turn out that a few of my ideas are inspired by some of those early Dieux Du Stade shoots. Those "making of" DVDs were always entertaining.
Is that where my desire to shoot in a locker room, a boxing ring, open gym showers and the gym itself all started from? Or were those thoughts already there and that shoot just ignited the fire for them? Who will ever know but those locations are definitely on my list.
Finding a gym and a boxing ring to do a shoot in will be difficult but I'm keeping my eye out
