It all works out...

One of the two photo shoots I had lined up for last Saturday nearly didn't work out. A dancer I had booked is under contract to Sydney Dance Company, the premier dance company in Sydney, and possibly Australia. I've photographed him before but for some reason they wouldn't let him do this shoot. He told me as soon as he could but I had a week to find someone else.

The next dancer that responded to an Instagram shout-out needed to confirm timings and availability but that didn't work out either. So I was still scrambling to find someone. The concept needed someone who had some kind of physical performance/movement experience rather than static poses.

I was put in touch with Rafael by another model of mine and he very readily agreed to do the shoot. He was nervous having never posed nude before but he did a spectacular job. Because this shoot was for an exhibition image there won't be a full download but I may put together a mini download of it in the future as the images look very different to the end exhibition image.

Dancers have the best butts and legs and Rafael is no exception. Some of the images we captured have worked beautifully in what I'm putting together for the exhibition. The relief I feel at having found someone who stepped up so beautifully is wild.
