Releasing a photography download every two weeks is quite a time consuming thing and it has been great for getting me in to creative rhythms with the rotation of outdoor, bed/indoor and studio work to keep myself entertained. Even though it is only June, with all the work I have currently shot and edited or about to be edited, I have enough to keep up this release schedule until the end of October. With a few more studio shoots to fill in the gaps I'll have enough for the rest of the year.
When it comes to being creative, you can easily reach burn out. The headline of this post may be leading you to believe that I'm taking a break or quitting but that is not the case at all. I love sharing my work with you all and getting your feedback and support.
I'm starting to think that it might be time to work towards another gallery exhibition. I had my first in February 2011, my second two years later in February 2013 and then I followed up in 2015 with a series I released online. I have also been a part of 3 group exhibitions. It's a fantastic experience and even though it's stressful and expensive, I love doing it.
There is what I believe to be a strong idea brewing in my mind that I would love to explore. Ultimately it will probably mean that I'm shooting just as often as I am now but for the rest of this year, it will be mostly towards the exhibition.
I'm excited!
