The story of Charlie In My Bed
Added 2022-05-26 22:25:51 +0000 UTCWhen I asked you to pick a Charlie shoot to discuss, I guess I'm not surprised you chose this one but honestly it probably has the least story to it.
Back in 2020 in lockdown, studios were closed, it was getting too cold to photograph outdoors and I needed to do some shoots to keep up with my release schedule. So I started this In My Bed series where I put white sheets on my bed, and using natural, available light I photograph a man in my bed. The model brings his own vibe to the shoot, props if he wants, and sets his own boundaries.
Charlie is a model I've worked with four times now and I would work with him any day. He's fearless. Now, I have to be careful with what I say on this platform as some words are not allowed but Charlie has never shied away from erotic content but like me he hopes it is going to be beautifully done rather than just explicit for the sake of it.
This shoot was very relaxed and comfortable as I'd photographed Charlie three times before and erotic the very first time. He trusts me and I know I'm going to get beautiful shots of him. This was the first shoot he'd gone all the way to "completion" on camera but ultimately we didn't use those shots as they crossed a line and Charlie didn't like the face he pulled as he "completed".
I'm currently talking to Charlie and the guy he is dating about a studio duo shoot but we are struggling to make timing work. It will happen though.
