A missed opportunity
Added 2021-10-12 04:31:36 +0000 UTCYesterday was our "freedom day" here in Sydney with lockdown restrictions being lifted for the vaccinated. Over the period though I did have a thought about a photo series that would technically have been breaking the law and stay at home orders but would have been a lot of fun.
The thought was to have a brave model, or series of models and take advantage of the deathly quiet city streets at night, putting models nude into places that we normally wouldn't be able to.
Sadly I'm too much of a stickler for the rules but it could have been amazing. There are so many cool spots around the Sydney CBD that we probably could have got away with it. NYC actually has laws to state that public nudity is allowed as long as it is for an art project. Hence the stunning male nude image by Kevin McDermott with the Empire State in the background above.
Don't get me wrong, I've often put models nude in places where they shouldn't be but it's with a very calculated, minimal risk. Maybe if we have to go back into lockdown while it's warmer I'll give it a shot.
